Love literally becomes one of the ingredients of each meal as the kitchen team sets a daily ritual of prayer before they begin cooking and then continue to chant the Divine Names as they cook. You can literally taste the love!
Vegetarian and Vegan Delights
Founded in the pursuit of ahimsa or non-violence, all of our food is free of meat, gelatin, and eggs. Any milk or honey used in our cooking comes from our own ‘happy cows’ (who you can go visit if you’d like) and bees.
If you get hungry between meals, there’s no need to fear. The Bhajan Cafe is full of other sweet and savory treats, chai, and coffee. Take a tea, pull up a chair, you’ll never go hungry here.
The baristas at the Bhajan Cafe always have a smile on their face for you. Whether you’re looking for your morning cup of coffee or an afternoon pick-me-up, the coffee and chai will be running strong and the cases are fullcases full of sweet pastries, savoury treats, and fresh-cut fruit just for you.

Communal Dining Hall
Take your meals in our communal dining hall where you’ll have the opportunity to nourish your body, mind and soul. Connect with the other guests and the Ashram’s residents, share your experiences and relax in our communal dining hall.
Each morning a buffet of porridge, freshporridge fresh fruit, tea and locally baked bread with jam and vegan butter is offered for breakfast. Take your fill and be energized for the day ahead.
Breakfast is served from 8:30-9:00 each day.
Lunch varies day-by-day but always consists of fresh-cooked vegetables, a grain like rice, quinoa, or lentils, and a green salad.
Lunch is served from 13:00-14:00 each day.
Like lunch, dinner changes each day but generally includes a warm, fresh soup and locally-baked bread.
Dinner is served from 19:15-19:45 each day.
In The Ashram, every Monday we serve kitchari for breakfast, lunch and dinner as a way to give our bodies a break from digesting all that marvellous food we normally get, and yet not require a complete fast (we reserve doing THAT for Ekadashi days)! And a light, warm dish with fragrant spices makes good sense from an Ayurvedic point of view.
